Hardware and Network

The DispenseFirst application helps dispensaries remain HIPPA compliant. Patient health information, as well as all data in the application, is stored in a SQL Server database that resides on a secure server.

Authorized access is built into the server. Safeguards to accessing and transmitting patient health information from within the application are built into the software. Additionally, tracking reports are implemented to keep records of activity on hardware and software.

DispenseFirst must be installed on a Windows server with Microsoft SQL Server installed. There are numerous options available for workstation compatibility across operating system platforms.

v5 can help you choose the right hardware and networking software to support the DispenseFirst application. Most importantly, v5 will act as a liaison between you and your IT vendor regarding installation and troubleshooting issues.

Application programming interface (API), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) capabilities are built into the application.
